对话颜磊--使不做事情成为一种形式

“利悟利”是我2001年注册的公司的名字,全名叫“廊坊利悟利艺术品有限公司”,因为当时我起的名字“空想”--我不想有倾向的名字,空想是相对最纯粹的词了,因为它没有多余的修辞--工商部门不给注册,所以就用了法语“reverie”的音译。
Rêverie’(Chinese: Li Wu Li)is the name of the company I setup in 2001. The full name is 'Langfang Li Wu Li ArtworkCompany Ltd.’, because at the time, the name I had originall proposed.

杰罗姆:你看上去就像是一个歌手,或者是一个演员什么的,还是有艺术家的感觉。
颜磊:是吗?我并没有刻意要追求艺术家效果,有风格也不一定就是艺术家,尤伦斯先生不是也很有风格吗?
JS: You look like a singer, or an actor, or even an artist
YL: That just means that I have style. I am not necessarily tryingto look like an artist. Mr. Ullens has style too.
有什么不可以成为艺术的呢?

卢迎华:你的创作似乎可以分两条线索来讨论,其中一条是以绘画为媒介的创作,从早期用色块分割现有图像以便在画布上进行机械复制,到《彩轮》系列,到近期的也是以现成图像为基础的并以固定的式样呈现的《追光》系列,请你以这三个阶段为例子谈谈你对绘画的观点?

瓦林:你的作品多来自现实图像:你自己拍的照片或从报纸拿来的照片,艺术圈同行拍的照片或艺术史相关的图像。这么多照片被数字化并以标准形式转化为绘画。而这些绘画也不是你自己画的。那么对你来说艺术是什么?
WB: In your work, you use a lot of images taken from the reality.photos made by your self or taken from the newspapers, imagesfrom colleagues and art history. The numerous images aredigitalized and transformed in a standard format to be painted.
